Zydeco Dance Steps / Swivel and Tap

This closed position move is where instead of just staying in one spot you will start turning your partner clockwise (CW) and then counter clock wise (CCW) during specific times during the pattern.

Lead / Guy:
There are different places to start into this pattern and one of them is on the rock step. The first 6 steps of this pattern are normal zydeco footwork, on the 7th beat you step forward with your partner with your left foot as you push her into a rock step, then on the 8th beat the guy moves his weight to his right foot (and the gals left foot) as he starts turning himself and her CCW on the 1st and 2nd beat of music, the 3rd and 4th count are normal weight changes, on the 5th and 6th count the guy steps back to his right and starts turning his partner in a CW and gives her on a rock step on the 7th count as he steps foward onto his left foot, then the 8th count he steps back on his right foot (her left), and the pattern continues over and over a few times. To get out of it just quit doing the turning and it will be the normal basic Zydeco pattern.
