Bio:
Zydeco has been a family tradition with Harold Guillory through
out his life and many of his past ancestors. Harold is the grandson
of Boisec
Ardoin and cousins to Sean
and Chris
Ardoin. With roots all the way back to Amade' Ardoin who was
one of the founding fathers of Zydeco.
Louisiana Zydeco Live
is described as the Zydeco Soul Train or Zydeco American Bandstand.
One of Harold's goals in spreading this music to the masses is the
desire to inform and educate people on the origins of Zydeco music
and dance.
The
music and dance
did not come from New Orleans as many people believe. The origin's
were from the Creole culture of Southwest Louisiana.
Its
hard to grow up in the Guillory family with out sharing the music
and dance with others. Harold teaches Zydeco
dance as well as continues to play
with Chris Ardoin and Double Clutchin'.
