Warning
- there are lots of versions of the crossover step that start on any
of the beats - the best way to learn is by following someone who knows
the footwork. Here is one version of the cross over:
Lead:
Slow(L1,2 Left foot crosses over Right foot on the 1st beat, and steps
down on the 2nd beat after its crossed your right foot)-quick(R3,
step on your right foot, step back and to the left on the 4th beat,
step onto your right foot for the 5th and 6th beat and finish up with
a rock step with your left foot on count 7, and step forward on your
right foot for the 8th and ending beat of the pattern.
Follow:
On the Slow or 1st beat your right foot passes over your left foot
and steps down on the 2nd beat, step onto your left foot for the 3rd
beat, then step back to the right on the 4th beat on your right foot.
Step onto your left foot for the 5th and 6th beat, then step onto
your right foot and back for the rock step on the 7th beat, step forward
for the 8th and final beat of the pattern.
